FA Trophy Second Round Proper – Dates, draw and who’s in

The draw for the 2025/26 FA Trophy Third Round Proper is due on Monday after the weekend Second Round fixtures are complete.

There are three matches of interest in the FA Trophy Second Round with Maidenhead United and Bracknell Town being granted away days in spa town, while Slough Town host Gloucester City at Arbour Park.

The Robins head to Bath City while the Magpies go to Leamington.

Who’s in the FA Trophy Third Round Proper draw?

The FA Trophy Third Round marks the last 64 of the competition and will also see the top tier National League sides enter for the first time this season – including holders Aldershot Town.

The full list of National League sides entering is Aldershot Town, Altrincham, Boreham Wood, Boston United, Brackley Town, Braintree Town, Carlisle United, Eastleigh, FC Halifax Town, Forest Green Rovers, Gateshead, Hartlepool United, Morecambe, Rochdale AFC, Scunthorpe United, Solihull Moors, Southend United, Sutton United, Tamworth, Truro City, Wealdstone, Woking, Yeovil Town and York City.

As it stands Bracknell Town, Maidenhead United and Slough Town are all ‘in the hat’ for the FA Trophy Third Round draw.

When is the FA Trophy Third Round Proper draw?

The FA has confirmed the FA Trophy Third Round Proper draw will be broadcast live on talkSPORT2 radio on Monday 17th November. It will be made at approximately 3.15pm and split into a north and south section, involving a total of 64 clubs and 32 ties.

When will Third Round Proper matches be played, and what is the prize money on offer?

FA Trophy Third Round Proper matches are due to take place the weekend of Saturday 13th December 2025. Full details of round dates are here.

The prize money on offer for winners in the FA Trophy Third Round matches is £4,500, with the losing side receiving £1,250.
