Jordan Blake steps down as Woodley United manager after four year tenure – Football in Berkshire
Woodley United have confirmed that Men’s First Team Manager, Jordan Blake, will step down after four years and more than 100 games in charge.
The club released a statement on social media that read the following:
“Following four years at the club, 1st team manager Jordan Blake is leaving to pursue other management opportunities. Jordan’s time at Woodley United has been a success, with the club reaching its furthest round in the FA Vase and contesting this season’s promotion play-offs.”
“Jordan is thanked for his achievements and contributions to the club, and he is wished all the best for the future”
In his time with the Kestrels, Jordan saved the club from relegation in a last ditch great escape in the 2024/25 season. The club sat bottom of the Combined Counties Division One table on the 1st of March with many certain they were to be relegated, but a run of 9 games in which they scored 25 goals and secured 19 points saw them lift themselves out of the drop zone and finish one point clear of demotion.
He also led the squad to the Second Round of the Isuzu FA Vase in the 2023/24, the club’s best ever run in the historic competition. Narrowly losing out 3-2 to Egham Town having beaten AFC Aldermaston, Newest Town and Virginia Water.
Best of luck for whatever comes next, Jordan!

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
